Tip for Ascension: Throat Friction Breathing

Throat friction breathing is a technique that activates the throat’s energy center (5th chakra) and quiets the mind rather quickly. I first learned about throat friction breathing in Ethan Vorly’s e-book, Tantric Secrets, and found that it was the easiest method for me to master personally.

Here’s how to do it:
  • Place your tongue against the roof of your mouth just behind the teeth.
  • While inhaling, hold the mouth open slightly and breathe deep, filling the chest and lower abdomen.
  • Exhale the breath, pushing air against the back of the throat. The rasping that resonates from it sounds like Darth Vader!
The breath will automatically find its own slow, relaxed rhythm. You will feel centered and present in your body. While your mind is quiet you will be able to sense your inner guidance.
