Give Back to Yourself through Meditation

Take, take, take! Gimme, gimme, gimme! Day in and day out, your friends, family, coworkers, employers—everyone seems to demand your time and attention.

You need your energy for your own ascension. Meditation is one way you can give energy back to yourself. It has so many benefits—mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically—and brings calmness and brighter perspectives as it dissipates negativity. It washes away stress and enhances intuitive senses as you still your mind. It creates a channel through which divine inspiration and higher guidance can be accessed and received.

Whether alone or with a group, meditation is the art of being still to know your own power and true self. You could do a silent or verbal session (chanting, prayer, affirmations) or you might choose from a wide variety of tools to help you focus your energy and thoughts, or raise your vibration while meditating. These tools include, but are not limited to, videos, audios, drumming, conscious breathing, visualization, chanting, singing, praying, laying in trance or altered states, and repeating mantras or affirmations. Taking time out of the mundane, helps relieve stress and connect you with the Sacred Heart within.

Meditation is a great time to daydream and use your imagination to create by visualizing what you want. It helps to set an intention for the meditation. Many times I try to envision what our society would look like if we all laid down our weapons of war and critical judgment and simply accepted what is. It is a beautiful vision. You are free to create your own vision of utopia.

If you are in the Nashville area, you may enjoy participating in a Sacred Circle that my friend, Vickie B. Majors, initiated to support the ascension process and bring world peace. Contact me if you would like more information about this group.
